The AI Prompt Engineer will design, test, and operationalize prompt systems that power content creation, ad copy, SEO assets, analytics summaries, and creative ideation for high-growth marketing workflows. The role collaborates closely with performance marketing, content, design, and data teams to standardize best practices and embed AI safely into daily operations.
⦿ Key functions
- Build reusable prompt patterns, templates, and chains for marketing use cases such as performance ad variants, landing-page copy, blog briefs, keyword clusters, and social calendars; document guardrails, inputs, and expected outputs so non-technical teams can self-serve.
- Conduct structured prompt experiments (A/B/C) to improve accuracy, specificity, brand voice, and conversion impact; maintain a benchmark suite with precision/recall, style adherence, toxicity/safety checks, and latency/cost metrics.
- Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and brand knowledge bases to ground outputs in first-party data, brand guidelines, product catalogs, and historical creative winners; reduce hallucinations through citation and context windows.
- Translate marketing briefs into machine-readable instructions, including role prompting, format constraints, and evaluation rubrics; standardize prompt “contracts” for repeatable briefs across clients and verticals.
- Integrate prompts into production tools and APIs (e.g., workflow automations, CMS, ad platforms, analytics notebooks) with proper rate-limits, cost controls, versioning, and access permissions.
- Create evaluation pipelines for quality assurance (human-in-the-loop), including red-teaming for bias, safety, IP compliance, and brand risk; escalate and remediate failure modes with clear SOPs.
- Partner with paid media teams to generate and refine ad copy/image prompts mapped to audience segments, funnel stages, and platform policies; track downstream CTR/CVR/CPA to continuously tune prompts.
- Collaborate with SEO to generate briefs, entities, outlines, and interlinking suggestions aligned to search intent and E-E-A-T; ensure fact-grounded content with source citations and editorial checks.
- Support creative teams with image and video prompt engineering (e.g., Midjourney/SD prompts, shot lists, style guides) and establish a brand-consistent visual prompt library.
- Build and maintain an internal prompt library and stylebook including do/don’t examples, few-shot exemplars, chain-of-thought surrogates, and domain ontologies; enable rapid onboarding for new team members.
- Train internal users through playbooks and clinics on effective prompt patterns, critique frameworks, and safe AI use; champion continuous improvement via office hours and shared experiments.
⦿ Required skills and experience
- 3–6 years in digital marketing, content operations, growth, data analysis, or product writing; at least 1–2 years hands-on with LLMs and prompt design in production contexts.
- Mastery of prompt patterns for marketing (role prompting, few-shot, chain/graph prompting, function calling, constraint-based formats, style transfer) and evaluation strategies.
- Experience with at least one LLM stack and APIs; comfort with workflow tools and light scripting (Python or JavaScript) to automate evaluations, tagging, and data prep.
- Strong brand and language sense with the ability to codify tone, audience, and compliance requirements; multilingual prompting familiarity (English plus Hindi or another Indian language) is valued.
- Understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector stores, and content-grounding; awareness of safety, bias, and IP considerations in generative AI.
- Data literacy to connect prompt outputs to funnel metrics (CTR, CVR, AOV, CPA, ROAS) and run statistically sound experiments.
⦿ Nice to have
- Experience with SEO tooling (entity extraction, topic modeling), ad platform policies, and programmatic creative testing at scale.
- Familiarity with image/video generation prompting, creative operations, and brand asset management workflows.
- Exposure to analytics stacks (Looker/Power BI/Tableau), tagging taxonomies, and content QA automation.

- Reduction in content turnaround time and production cost per asset while maintaining or improving brand and compliance scores.
- Lift in downstream performance (CTR/CVR/CPA/ROAS) attributable to prompt variants and improved creative/keyword alignment.
- Increased internal adoption of standardized prompt templates and knowledge bases with measurable quality and safety gains.
